The role

The International HR Manager runs the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office.

You work with a large degree of independence and in close collaboration with management. In this role you are an all-round professional, covering all facets of HR in the full breadth. You will be working in a changing, dynamic environment. You identify and actively contribute ideas about developments and the integrated approach to business issues. You translate these to the organization and to the HR processes in the organization (at strategic, tactical and operational level), indicate points for attention and bottlenecks and translate these into concrete advice. In this role you have a strong decentralized focus.

 

At the beginning you are responsible for starting up HR in the Netherlands and start recruiting for HR Specialist roles in several European countries. You will build up an European HR Community which will consist of max 2-3 HR Specialists, at the very beginning. Besides starting recruiting with HR roles, you will also start recruiting a few financial specialist to build up the financial department, also based in Amsterdam.
From thereon you will create a vison on several HR topics, like on- and offboarding, personal development, organizational development and employee engagement. You’ll bring these, and other topics, to the next level.

 

In this general HR function, with an international scope, you will work on the further positioning, forming and professionalization of HR within the European organization. In this role you will have a lot of freedom to fill it in yourself.

In this role you directly report to Global HR Director.

The profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, management, social sciences or similar fields;
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, preferably in an international organization;
  • Good knowledge of all HR operational processes and experience in managing full recruitment & staffing process;
  • Bright, pro-active, self-starter who can work autonomously and manage a (decentralized) HR team. Be an entrepreneur within the GLAMIRA organization;
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills, with ability to relate and influence people at all levels;
  • Eager to learn, open-minded and teamwork oriented profile with planning, organizational and problem solving skills;
  • A flexible and pragmatic mindset. Always eager for new ideas and solutions to create the best ways to serve the business;
  • Key stakeholder management skills are essential with the ability to build credible relationships to lead, drive change and push back on the business when needed
  • Proven results in delivering successful HR projects;
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

This position offers an interesting combination of smart hands-on advice, project management and also a tactical and strategic approach, in alignment with the global and local policies and standards. Good collaboration is key!
 

  • Executing recruitment, on-offboarding, performance management, talent management, employee engagement and organizational changes processes for employees accounts;
  • Acting as a first point of contact and advisor for business units while ensuring the execution and delivery of all HR activities (from the recruitment process, organizational development, employer branding, performance management, compensation and benefit, headcount planning and exit process, Dutch employment law etc.);
  • Coordinate related process and lifecycle including job description, audits, interviews, offers, orientations and onboarding;
  • Collaborate with management and training and development team in organization of internal and external trainings;
  • Acting as a bridge between the HR team and the employees, it will analyze the needs of the department and ensure the coordination to work in this direction;
  • Responsible for providing HR guidance to all employees within their defined scope;
  • Initiating, developing and implementing HR processes and policies;
  • Working together with the HR team and will take an active role in the development and implementation of new projects;
  • Conducting exit interviews, analyzing and reporting the results;
  • Prepare and follow up HR reports.

  • It’s a fulltime position (40h workweek);
  • This is an international role;
  • When accepting a contract with GLAMIRA, this will initially be for a definite period of one year. GLAMIRA is however keen to maintain this position permanently.
