The Amsterdam office is growing and in need of an energetic, proactive and committed People Advisor to set up HR in Amsterdam. The opportunity would be perfect for a driven and talented person to take the next career step.
As part of an ambitious team, the successful candidate will be a true generalist managing all aspects of the employment journey. The People Advisor is the first contact for people queries. You provide structure and an advisory service to employees and Senior Managers on HR related topics. You help to drive organizational performance by driving core business objectives. You manage staff relationships, promptly respond to queries and manage expectations. You ensure HR matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
You work in partnership with line managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing and staff management/development. You also work closely with People colleagues across the business to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice. You also coordinate the payroll administration.
Functie-eisen en competenties
- Minimum of HBO (Bachelor) level;
- Minimum of 3 years experience in advising line managers in an international, creative and dynamic environment;
- Specialist knowledge within HR, Recruitment and preferably Dutch labor law;
- Proven experience with visa & 30% ruling applications;
- Great communication skills, fluent in Dutch and English is required;
- Team orientated and results focused;
- Pragmatic, reliable, organised, compassionate, listener;
- Practically minded: able to roll sleeves up and get stuck in!

The People Advisor sets up HR and provides HR service to the Iris Amsterdam office. Being part of the European People Team, this is a solo HR role in an energetic creative team of around 50 people in Amsterdam. You will report into the Head of People (based in UK), so there is a great opportunity to learn and develop.
- Dependent on level and experience, €45k annual gross based on 40 hours;
- Plenty of opportunities to develop in the role;
- First contract will be for one year, with the intention to extend.
